EXPERIENCE

Spent years in journalism where I honed editing, rewriting, proofreading and page-layout skills on newspapers and periodicals. Learnt the importance of ensuring facts are truly factual.

I’m at ease with a range of disciplines within the humanities, social sciences and the arts, and with popular culture. However, I’m willing to tackle other subject matter.

As a freelance copy editor, I was solely responsible for editing, rewriting and proofreading copy for an Anglo-American trade- union magazine.

I have extensive experience editing/proofreading copy submitted for publication by writers whose primary language isn’t English.

I have proofread and sharpened up theses and reports, and written/edited/proofread copy for council brochures.
